The objective of the Nursing Resource Center is to provide faculty, students and practitioners with a facility to support alternative forms of learning and continuing education.Resources will be available to encourage independent learning and to enhance traditional teaching methodologies.The Center will also serve as a meeting site for the nursing association and will enable nursing colleagues to collaborate and solve a number of issues and common councerns. Stretegically located in central and accessible facilities, the Center will serve a broad audience. Its goal are to improve knowledge base, skills and abilities, while improving health care services and promoting health and healthy life styles un the community.

B.PARTENERS

• trained nurses ( in and outside the country)
• phisicians, Medicine University faculty who are interested in nurses continuing educations
• continuing educations instructors ( 20 nurses) .They will be selected and trained according to a curricula of national consensus.

FINANCING UNTIL NOW

• • 15.000 $ – from Open Society Foundation ( former SOROS Foundation)- to organise the location of the center
  • 8.000 $ -.from A.I.H.A.- equipement and educational materials
  • 1.000.000.lei –from World Vision – consisting in 300 books

We submited applications forms to Open Society Foundation in order to get further financing.

THE MAIN ACTIVITIES OF N.R.C.

• • organising courses and instruction sessions ; the instructors will be nurses and phisicians ( med. Univ. faculty) and the attendants will get a certificates of completion( oficially recognized )
  • organise nursing and interdisciplinary care workshops
  • professional guidelines and standards presentation, ethics and deontological issues
  • organising meetings of professionals associations,
  • organising and hosting conferences , debates, workshops, practical demonstrations and exhibition
  • to facilitate and mediate the participantion of nurse to professional and scientific events
  • basic instruction to work with electronical information and communication tools
  • internet documentation
  • nursing interventions in drugs administration- training
  • news in clinical practice –training
